MID Guidance Notes now published

MID Guidance Notes now published for interested parties

Following the coming into force of the MID implementing Regulations on 30 October 2006, NWML have formally published guidance documents for those instruments under our regulatory responsibility ie 11 sets of Documents.

The guidance documents seek to draw together information which relates to the regulations from other sources such as from WELMEC (European Cooperation in Legal Metrology), LACORS (Local Authority Coordination of Regulatory Services), EU Commission, OIML (Organisation of International Legal Metrology) and ESI (European Standards Organisations).

Not all documents have been presented in the same manner. Some include more detailed guidance and background information in relation to the essential requirements while others refer directly to WELMEC documents which set out those parts of the relevant OIML Recommendations which are considered as ‘Normative references’.
