A Guide to Identifying Notified Bodies in the UK
NMO has provided a search tool to facilitate the location of suitable and competent
service providers for the conformity assessment of different instrument types. The
facility is designed to help manufacturers and users of weighing and measuring instruments
to place their equipment on the market under MID and provides access to notified
bodies for conformity assessment. It can also identify notified bodies for NAWI
re-verification.
How to do the search for a Notified Body?
Please select an instrument type and appropriate UK region. This will establish
which if any notified bodies exist to meet those parameters .You will then be given
an option to view the homepage of the organisation or to search through the
NANDO (New Approach Notified
and Designated Organisations) link to establish
which Directives are applicable. On selection of a Directive, the conformity assessment
task(s) provided by each of the organisations will be identified.

candidates from the NANDO website on EUROPA , using the link at
the bottom of this page.
