OIML TC11/SC2 - Contact  Thermometers - comments by 17th August 2009

The OIML secretariat is reviewing its work on contact thermometry. The subcommittee has responsibility for R133 "Liquid in Glass Thermometers" and a very old project on standardized thermocouples. It has asked for our recommendations on these projects and for any suggestions for future projects by the subcommittee.

The secretariat is asking if this recommendation should be Reconfirmed/Revised/or Withdrawn? If a revision is recommended then it is helpful if comments are included suggesting the main changes.

The National Measurement Office would welcome your comments to help formulate the UK's view.

The OIML Secretariat TC15/SC2 for "Measuring instruments for ionizing radiations used in industrial processes" is reviewing its work and the documents it is responsible for.

The Recommendations are:

• R 127(1999):        Radiochromic film dosimetry system for ionizing radiation processing of materials and products,
• R 131(2001):        Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) dosimetry systems for ionizing radiation processing of materials and products, and
• R 132(2001):        Alanine EPR dosimetry systems for ionizing radiation processing of materials and products.
